Phase 1

Research & Strategy

It all begins right here, Research & Strategic Planning. This is where we analyse the market landscape. We will define your position within the category. Who your target market is, and what visual style and brand character will resonate best with them. What the competition is doing and how we can do it better. We’ll unearth key differentiators and how to best leverage those. This vital information gathering, analysing and strategic planning will bring us to point where we can then begin to confidently craft the perfect brand image and packaging design for your product.

By uniting with SmithEvans you’ll ensure your new brand engages customers in such a way that they are transformed into loyal, word-of-mouth brand ambassadors that will organically help to get product sales flying.

Phase 2

Concepts

The strategic planning outcomes are poured over and our creative wizards then begin to craft your glorious design concepts. We’ll consult with you, and give advice where needed, on packaging types and materials, to ensure all concepts presented are actually achievable from a print aspect. It’s an exciting phase where your input and ideas, our years of packaging experience and creativity combine to bring forth a bold new look for your brand.

This phase usually results in two to three concepts, and if the brief demands it, something from left field may make it into the mix, sometimes the packaging road less traveled can prove very rewarding! These designs concepts that are developed are then presented to you for feedback.

Phase 3

Design & refinement

Phase three sees you absorb and process the design concepts. One concept might be a home run, no question. Or, there may be others that are close but need a little tweaking. Let’s openly discuss the revisions you’d like to make until we have a razor sharp final design that’s ready for market. At this phase we then also adapt the final design across a range if needed, or to a shipper or other packaging materials, all to a print ready state. The ultimate design that is approved at this stage sets the look that will be carried across all other products and branded elements, ensuring a cohesive and professional look throughout all branded elements.

Your product now has a personality, a brand image, and is housed in truly eye-catching and professional packaging that’s ready to take the market by storm.

Phase 4

The launch

Ready, set, launch! You’re on the final countdown to launch, now is the time where we expertly adapt the packaging and brand style across all the other consumer touch-points required for a successful launch.
